Digital Workflow

Course outline

This one-day course provides an overview of the files used in standard publishing digital workflow. These include Word, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat files.

On this course you will learn how files from these programs work together, what standards you have to apply and at what point in the publishing process. The advantage of this day programme is that the course provides an excellent overview of the relationship between these large and complex software programs.

Delegates gain an understanding of the entire digital publishing process and, on completion of the course, can either better manage the process or understand how their part fits into the whole.

• Work with each software program to flow electronic files efficiently
• Understand the impact of changes in one part of the process on another
• Apply industry standards to image, text and PDF files
• Gain confidence in liaising with suppliers
