Do you ever come across contracts that contain errors? It could be a simple typo, a grammatical mistake, or an inconsistency. Perhaps it is a standard contract and the client's name has been omitted or, worse still, not changed since the last time it was used.
Of course, contracts and other legal documents are routinely checked. The problem is that proofreading is deceptively difficult. And, if you're not properly trained, then you will (unless you are very lucky indeed!) make mistakes.
We can deliver a one-day course that draws on decades of experience. In book publishing, proofreading has been developed and refined to the extent that it is a profession in its own right. We aim to bring this experience to a legal context, offering law firms the opportunity to learn the skills and processes that publishers have been using for years.
